ABOUT THE DESIGN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

As an AIA Greater Columbia outreach and education initiative, the scholarship program serves to connect the professional architectural community in the greater Columbia area with the architectural education community at Clemson University.

In 2010, the Columbia Section of the American Institute of Architects in conjunction with the Clemson School of Architecture first developed the scholarship program as a way to recognize individual and/or group project achievements of Clemson undergraduate architecture students.

2014 PROJECT PROGRAM

This year’s project is a collaboration with City Roots sustainable farm. Third-year Clemson students have been challenged to work as a group to create an overall master plan for the future growth and development of City Roots.

Each student has also been tasked to design individual components within the context of the developed master plan. The finalized master plan and individual component projects will be presented on April 23, 2014 at City Roots.
