804 Gervais Street
Columbia, SC 29201
The Adluh Flour building is currently undergoing a historic renovation by Studio2LR and Hood Construction.
This is a construction site, therefore proper construction attire should be worn for this meeting (hard hats & closed toed shoes).
The only on-site parking is on the east side of the building – we highly recommend walking if possible or carpooling with other coworkers from your office.
We all know that there is limited parking in the Vista.
Please meet the group on the left side off the building before going into the site.
We will begin the meeting in the second floor space and cover the minutes from last year’s meeting, a review of this year’s achievements,
and followed by elections for the 2015 AIAGC Executive Board before moving into the building tour and lunch.
A note from the AIAGC Executive Board:
This year has been a great one for the Greater Columbia section of the AIA. We look forward to sharing our many successes at next Wednesday’s membership meeting with thanks to the hard work of our board and many valuable volunteers. One note to share ahead of time, however, is the slate of board members who are returning and those who have been nominated to join the AIAGC Board.
The Executive Committee, as nominated by the board for approval by the members are:
Robyn Fisher, AIA – President 2015
Wendy Bertani, Assoc. AIA – Vice President 2015, President Elect 2016
Andrew Rogerson, AIA – Secretary
Tara Jerdan, Assoc. AIA – Treasurer
John Powell, AIA – Past President
Returning Board Members:
David Sickenger, AIA
Josh Bucher, AIA
Dewey Ervin, AIA
Coral Brandt, Assoc. AIA
Josh Boltinhouse, AIA
Tripp Riley, AIA
New Board Members:
Ashley Colquhoun, Assoc. AIA
Brandon Rogers, Assoc. AIA
Hunter McKenzie, Assoc. AIA
We would also like to thank several board members who will be rolling off of the active board. Michael Wenzinger, AIA has served as treasurer this year as well as being heavily involved in the youth and children’s events we have hosted. Michael spearheaded our service to the Department of Education in the creation of an architectural curriculum for the public schools of South Carolina. Also leaving us is Chris Beard, AIA who has served as our Continuing Education liaison. In addition to tracking and submitting AIA credits for each of our tours and educational events, Chris led this year’s, “Food For Thought” event. Both of these members of our board will be greatly missed and we are enormously grateful for their time and talent given to this board and our membership.
